Kung Fu Panda 3: What You Need To Know
Eight years after he bumbled onto our screens for the first time, Po, the kung fu kicking panda bear, is back for a third adventure. Here is everything you need to know about it…
What’s The Plot?
In this instalment our hero Po faces two very different problems, first his biological father Li Shan shows up and, to help them get re-acquainted, they head off to his former home town. But, waiting for him there is both a clumsily arranged marriage and the spectre of supernatural villain Kai, who is going across China defeating all the kung fu masters. To defeat him, Po must do the impossible and teach his fellow pandas how to be kung fu masters themselves. Can he do it?
Who Lends Their Voices?
Jack Black returns to voice Po, with Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, David Cross, James Hong, Randall Duk Kim, Rebel Wilson, Bryan Cranston and J. K. Simmons also on vocal duty.
And Who’s Behind The Camera?
Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who directed Kung Fu Panda 2, is back again and this time she is joined by Alessandro Carloni, who worked as an animator on both previous instalments, as a co-director. Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, who wrote both previous Kung Fu Pandas, are back once again for this one.
Does it deliver?
In the best possible way it’s more of the same, lots of slapstick comedy and excellent one liners, it’ll keep kids and adults reassuringly entertained.
