Honest Thief - Five Reasons You'll Love It

Cinemas are quiet at the moment, but we do have a few new releases to get stuck into and one of them is a new Liam Neeson-driven thriller, Honest Thief.

Neeson plays Tom Carter, a successful bank robber who has built up a fortune of over nine million dollars for a string of heists.

Now though, he decides to turn himself in after falling in love. To do this, he makes a deal with the FBI to surrender the money in return for a reduced sentence.

But, when the agents who are sent to deal with him get tempted by the money, all bets are off...

Starring alongside Neeson are Kate Walsh, Robert Patrick, Anthony Ramos, Jeffrey Donovan and Jai Courtney.

Mark Williams directs and has co-written the script with Steve Allrich.

It arrives in cinemas today (October 23rd) and will be released on DVD in the coming weeks, but we caught an early screening and have rounded up five reasons why you'll love it...

Neeson's status as an action hero remains bonafide...

Carter is a role we've seen Neeson excel in before, the retired action man whose fighting days are long behind him, until they aren't. There's a reason he keeps getting these roles, he does them very well.

Jai Courtney is a worthy adversary...

The Divergent man's corrupt agent John Nivens is a scheming and well-played villain.

There are some cracking edge of the seat sequences...

Explosive chases, teeth-clenching fights and dynamic action sequences. It's all good stuff.

It's a short, sharp shock...

This is a tight, pacy thriller, all in under 100 minutes. Every scene is lean and we move along at a real click.

And keeps you guessing...

Your emotions and your loyalty are toyed with throughout the film, and the twists keep on coming.

Honest Thief is out now in cinemas today and will be released on DVD in the coming weeks.
