How To Train Your Dragon 3 delayed to 2019

The release of How To Train Your Dragon 3 has been delayed until 2019.

The movie had originally been due hit cinemas in 2016, but was then pushed to May in 2018 and has now gone back to 2019. It is now due to release on March 1st in 2019.

The second film in the animated series was released in 2015 and has raked in almost $600 million at the box office. You can check out both previous instalments here in hmv's online store.

No reason has been given for the delay and writer/director Dean DeBlois and producer Bonnie Arnold both remain attached to the project.

Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Cate Blanchett, T. J. Miller and Kristen Wiig are all set to return to reprise their voice roles in the third instalment of the animated franchise.
