How To Train Your Dragon 3 pushed back until 2017

The release of How To Train Your Dragon 3 has been delayed until 2017.

The second film in the animated series was released this summer and has raked in almost $600 million at the box office, but Dreamworks Animation have decided against a quick follow-up, instead moving the film from its planned release in 2016 to a new date in 2017.

No reason has been given for the delay and writer/director Dean DeBlois and producer Bonnie Arnold both remain attached to the project.

Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Cate Blanchett, T. J. Miller and Kristen Wiig are all set to return to reprise their voice roles in the third instalment of the animated franchise.
