Huge final trailer for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters debuts online
A final trailer for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, the sequel to 2014's Godzilla, has been unveiled. You can see it below:
Michael Dougherty, best known as the writer and director of festive horror Krampus, directs the Godzilla sequel, working from a script he co-wrote alongside Zach Shields.
Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins are reprising their roles from Godzilla while O'Shea Jackson Jr, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who stars in the above clip, join the cast.
The new movie follows the employees of crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's existence in jeopardy.
Godzilla: King Of Monsters had originally been due to hit cinemas in summer 2018, but it now won't hit screens until May 31st in 2019. It precedes Godzilla Vs King Kong, which will be released in 2020 and now has a confirmed release date of May 29th in that year.
Godzilla starred Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Hawkins and Watanabe. It was released in 2014.
