IT's Andy Muschetti to direct Hollywood remake of Attack On Titan
The live-action adaptation of anime hit Attack On Titan has secured a director.
Andy Muschetti, director of IT, will work on the Hollywood remake of the story, as soon as he completes work on the second instalment of the horror hit.
According to Variety, Harry Potter and Paddington producer David Heyman will oversee the film for Warner Bros, working with Muschetti's sister and Mega Man producer Masi Oka.
Attack On Titan is set in a world in which humanity lives in cities surrounded by enormous walls protecting themselves from gigantic humanoids that are referred to as titans.
The series has been in print since 2009 and has so far sold 76 million copies. It was adapted for Japanese cinemas in 2015 in two parts and has amassed $46 million in box office receipts.
