Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to lead Road House remake
Jake Gyllenhaal looks set to read a remake of 1989 cult action romp, Road House.
Released in 1989, Road House starred Patrick Swayze as James Dalton, a zen bouncer hired to clean up a rough-and-tumble bar in Missouri named the Double Deuce from the troublemakers who terrorise the customers.
However, without knowing, Dalton draws the ire of villainous local entrepreneur, Brad Wesley, who wants things to remain unchanged.
According to Variety, Gyllenhaal and American Made director Doug Liman look set to take on the project, though it's not yet if Gyllenhaal will play the role of Dalton or another role.
Before any remake, Gyllenhaal set to begin shooting Guy Ritchie’s Afghanistan War thriller The Interpreter, while Liman booked to take charge of adventure film Everest.
