Jason Statham confirms he will return for Fast And Furious 8
Jason Statham has confirmed that he will be returning for the next Fast & Furious movie.
The British action star played key villain Deckard Shaw in the most recent outing Fast And Furious 7 and has now said he will be back for the sequel.
He told Access Hollywood: "We're already talking about doing another one. Part eight. I'm a newcomer. I just got invited to the party in this last one, so it's nice to know I'm going to be doing another."
The next movie in the series, which is currently known simply as Furious 8, already has a release date, with the plan to be in cinemas on April 14th in 2017. Vin Diesel has already dropped heavy hints that the new movie will be set in New York.
It will be the second film in the series (after Tokyo Drift) to not feature its star Paul Walker who died in a car accident during production on the seventh film.
Fast And Furious 7 has been a runaway success at the box office, it has taken over $1.5 billion and has passed Frozen to become the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time.
