Jennifer Aniston set for Mean Girls “spiritual sequel”
More than ten years after the Lindsay Lohan starrer Mean Girls was such a surprise hit, a “spiritual” sequel Mean Mums is in the works.
Like Mean Girls, the new movie is based on a book by Rosalind Wiseman and tells the story of a blissfully married mother of two children, who finds her competitive edge when she moves to a small town in the US suburbs and parenting rivalries develop.
As per Deadline.com, Aniston will star in the movie which is to be directed by her Horrible Bosses 2 helmer Sean Anders – who also penned the script to Aniston’s other family-related comedy We’re The Millers.
Mean Mums will start shooting this summer and, though no release date has been revealed just yet, you can expect it to come out in the latter half of 2016.
