Jennifer Jason Leigh joins cast of Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight
Jennifer Jason Leigh has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino's new thriller The Hateful Eight.
The Wrap reports that the actress has signed up to take the role of Daisy Domergue, a part Jennifer Lawrence had previously been linked to. Domergue is a wanted murder who is to be hanged for her crimes at the start of the film.
The film is set to follow two bounty hunters, a tough female prisoner and a local sheriff who take shelter from a savage storm in a Wyoming saloon. They are joined in the saloon by four men, who may, or may not, be trying to free the prisoner.
Jason Leigh joins Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Zoe Bell, Bruce Dern, Walton Goggins, Dana Gourrier, Michael Madsen, Denis Menochet, James Parks, James Remar and Tim Roth, who are all confirmed to star in the film.
Shooting on The Hateful Eight is expected to get underway within weeks, with the film scheduled to be released in the latter half of 2015.
