Jordan Peele to oversee new remake of The People Under The Stairs
Jordan Peele is to oversee a remake of horror, The People Under The Stairs.
Colider reports that Peele will produce a new take on the horror for Universal Pictures.
Released in 1991, the film starred Brandon Adams, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, A.J. Langer and Ving Rhames.
Wes Craven directed the tale, which followed a young boy and two adult thieves who become trapped in a house belonging to a strange couple known as the Robesons after breaking in to steal their rare coin collection.
Then, the three discover that they've biten off more than they can chew and a lot more than they bargained for is waiting for them in the basement...
Peele will produce the remake alongside Win Rosenfeld via their Monkeypaw Productions.
There is no word on whether Peele will have a hand in the writing, as he did on the Candyman reboot, which is now due out in 2021.
