It had beeen teased earlier this week with a short clip and a handful of images, but today the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom made its debut online. You can watch it below:
Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum all star in the sequel to Colin Trevorrow's 2015 blockbuster Jurassic World, the fourth film in the Jurassic Park series launched in 1993 by director Steven Spielberg, who acts as executive producer for the new film. Jurassic Wold: Fallen Kingdom, due for release next summer, is directed by J.A. Bayona, the man responsible for films such as The Orphanage and A Monster Calls, although Trevorrow retains a role as screenwriter for the sequel to his 2015 film along with Derek Connolly, who also worked on the script for Jurassic World.
The new film sees Chris Pratt's Navy veteran Owen Grady returning to the island of Isla Nublar following the demise of the dinosaur theme park sited there, lured back by Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing - a former park manager and founder of the newly-established Dinosaur Protection Group - with the aim of saving the prehistoric creatures from dying out once again.
Alongside Pratt and Dallas Howard are a cast that inclides a returning Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, Tobu Jones, Geraldine Chaplin and Rafe Spall. The new film is set to arrived in UK cinemas on June 8th next year, with the film making its debut in the US a couple of weeks later on June 22nd.
