Karen Gillan joins The Rock and Kevin Hart in Jumanji remake
Former Doctor Who star Karen Gillan has signed up for a starring role in the much-anticipated remake of Jumanji.
The actress, who has just completed work on the sequel to Guardians Of The Galaxy, will join stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Nick Jonas in the movie.
The remake of Jumanji had originally been due to be released in December this year, but has now been moved back by seven months to a new release date of July 28th in 2017.
The original was released in 1995 and starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier and Bonnie Hunt. It followed the story of a 12-year-old boy who becomes trapped in a board game in 1969 and is released 26 years later.
The remake will be directed by Jake Kasdan with a script written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, it is expected to film this autumn.
