A first trailer for All Is True, the new drama about the later days of William Shakespeare, has debuted online. Click below to watch it:
Branagh stars as Shakespeare in 1613. Now aged 49, he returns home to Stratford and his wife Anne Hathaway after the Globe Theatre burns down in 1613.
Haunted by the death of his only son Hamnet, the film follows him as he struggles to mend the broken relationships with his wife and daughters.
In so doing, he is ruthlessly forced to examine his own failings as husband and father. His very personal search for the truth uncovers secrets and lies within a family at war.
Judi Dench and Ian McKellen co-star alongside Branagh, who also directs.
The film features a screenplay from Ben Elton. Elton has form with Shakespeare having created hit sitcom Upstart Crow.
All Is True will be released into UK cinemas on February 8th in 2019.
