Krysten Ritter among actresses in line for Marvel's Jessica Jones
Five actresses are reportedly in line to take the lead role in Marvel's new series Jessica Jones.
The new superhero drama will premiere on Netflix next year and producers are currently attempting to secure an actress to take the role of Jones.
According to Deadline, Breaking Bad and Don't Trust The B***h In Apartment 23 star Krysten Ritter, Warm Bodies' Teresa Palmer and Percy Jackson's Alexandra Daddario are among the actresses in line for the role, along with Jessica De Gouw and Marin Ireland.
Jessica Jones follows the travails of a superhero who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes.
Jessica Jones is the second of Marvel's four new dramas which will be premiering on Netflix, with Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage the other series being produced.
The role of Luke Cage looks set to go to either The Following's Mike Colter, Crisis' Lance Gross or Transparent's Cleo Anthony.
