Kurt Russell set for a starring role in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2
Kurt Russell looks set to take a leading role in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2.
Russell, who will next be seen in Quentin Tarantino's new thriller The Hateful Eight, has been eyed for the role of Peter Quill's father in the sequel, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The identity of Quill's father was key plot point in the opening movie and it was widely expected that the character, who was played by Jurassic World star Chris Pratt, would discover his father's identity in the sequel.
If Russell takes the role he will join French actress Pom Klementieff in signing up for a role in the sequel, they will join a returning Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and voice stars Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel in the sequel.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 currently has a release date of May 5th in 2017 and will again be directed by James Gunn.
