La La Land sweeps the board at the 2017 Golden Globes

La La Land broke records as it swept the board at last night's (January 8th) Golden Globes. 

The musical won for every category it was nominated in and went home with seven awards, including Best Actor for star Ryan Gosling, Best Actress for co-star Emma Stone, Best Screenplay and Director for Damien Chazelle, Best Score, Best Song and Best Comedy or Musical. 

Other winners on the night included tense thriller Moonlight, which won for Best Drama and Zootopia, which won Best Animated Feature. 

Casey Affleck was named best actor in a film drama for his role in Manchester By The Sea and French star Isabelle Huppert was the surprise winner of Best Actress for her role in controversial drama Elle. 

Aaron Taylor-Johnson took home the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Tom Ford's stylish drama Nocturnal Animals, while Violas Davis won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in race relations drama Fences

The ceremony took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles and were hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
