Liam Neeson signs up for thriller Narco Sub
Neeson confirms he’ll be working on the project which was courted by many of Hollywood’s top directors.
Liam Neeson’s recent career resurgence as an action star will continue when he stars in the upcoming thriller Narco Sub, which tells the story of a naval captain being forced by nefarious drug dealers to transport cocaine past the US coast guard via submarine.
Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua and Top Gun’s Tony Scott had been both linked with taking the director’s chair in recent years, though no decision has been made yet on who will helm, though the late Tony Scott’s brother Ridley is serving as producer alongside X-Men’s Simon Kinberg.
The 62-year-old Neeson has recently admitted a desire to get out of the action genre in a year or two, after starring in both Taken 3 and Run All Night – both released this year.
Neeson has also signed up for Martin Scorcese’s drama Silence alongside The Social Network’s Andrew Garfield and that will his screens in 2016.
