Luke Evans and Dan Stevens set to star in Beauty And The Beast
Dracula Untold star Luke Evans and former Downton Abbey man Dan Stevens look set to star in Disney's new live action adaptation of Beauty And The Beast.
According to Variety, Evans is in high level talks to take the role of villain Gaston, while Stevens is in talks to play the Prince/Beast, a role that had previously been linked with Ryan Gosling, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
Emma Watson has already signed on to play Belle in the movie, which is to be a live action remake of the 1991 animated classic.
Bill Condon, who directed both of the final parts of The Twilight Saga and is currently in post-production on Mr. Holmes, which stars Ian McKellen (you can see the trailer here), will direct the film, which will go into production later this year.
Evans, who recently confirmed that he will not be taking the lead role in the remake of cult action thriller The Crow, is currently preparing to film an adaptation of Andy McNab's SAS: Red Notice and will also star in Ben Wheatley's new drama Free Fire.
Stevens is currently in pre-production on Oppemheimer Strategies, a political drama that will see him star opposite Michael Sheen.
