Luke Evans replaces Jared Leto in The Girl On The Train
Dracula Untold star Luke Evans has been cast in a key role in the much-anticipated adaptation of The Girl On The Train.
Evans has stepped into a key role that was originally offered to Jared Leto, who was unable to take part due to a scheduling conflict and joins a cast which already includes Emily Blunt, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation's Rebecca Ferguson, The Leftovers' Justin Theroux, The West Wing's Alison Janney and The Equalizer's Haley Bennett.
The adaptation of Paula Hawkins' best-selling mystery is centred about Blunt's Rachel, a woman struggling to come to terms with her divorce and an alcohol problem who is suddenly drawn into a deadly web of lies and deceit.
The film is to be directed by The Hep and Get On Up director Tate Taylor and has a script from Secretary writer Erin Cressida Wilson. Filming is due to start later this year with a release date of October 7th next year already confirmed.
