Mark Ruffalo's Hulk to star in Thor: Ragnarok
Mark Ruffalo's Hulk is set to play a key role in Thor's next outing Thor: Ragnarok.
According to Deadline, Ruffalo is close to finalising a deal to star in the third in the Norse epic. It will mark his first appearance in a Marvel movie outside of the Avengers.
The movie, which will be directed by Taika Waititi, best known for his work writing and directing Flight Of The Conchords and vampire spoof What We Do In The Shadows, is due to hit cinemas in November of 2017. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Jaime Alexander are all expected to return to reprise their roles in the new installment.
Ruffalo's casting in Thor is the second massive crossover to be announced in Marvel's standalone movies in recent months following the news that Robert Downey Jnr will be appearing as Iron Man in the new instalment of Captain America, which is due to cinemas in February of next year.
