Marvel's Doctor Strange set for 2016 release date
Marvel is reportedly in 'advanced negotiations' with the UK's Pinewood-Shepperton Studios to film the latest of their superhero films, Doctor Strange. According to ScreenDaily, shooting is likely to begin around May of next year, with a release date tentatively pencilled in for July 8th 2016.
Scott Derickson, the man behind The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Deliever Us From Evil, is set to direct the new film based on what is perhaps one of Marvel's lesser known characters, a former surgeon turned sorcerer who protects the Earth using magical powers.
The film has been in development for some time, with a first attempt at getting it made dating back to the 1990s, but it finally looks as if the wheels are finally in motion for the new picture and allthough Marvel have yet to officially confirm the release date, reports are already surfacing that a crew is being assembled ready for the shoot early next year.
