Maze Runner: The Death Cure delayed until January 2018
The third instalment of The Maze Runner has been delayed until 2018.
The movie, which is titled Maze Runner: The Death Cure, has suffered a troubled production after Dylan O'Brien suffered a number of serious facial injuries while filming.
O'Brien (pictured above in the centre), who starred as Thomas in both The Maze Runner and its sequel Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, was hurt during filming back in March.
According to sources, the actor was in a harness on top of a moving vehicle when he was pulled off the vehicle unexpectedly and hit by another vehicle. He suffered concussion, facial fractures and lacerations.
Production, which initally had been delayed, has now been halted completely while the star recovers. It is expected to resume in the coming weeks.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is due to hit cinemas in February 2017, but will now be released into cinemas in January in 2018.
