Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen confirmed for Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs biopic
The full cast for Danny Boyle's much-discussed biopic of Apple founder Steve Jobs has finally been confirmed.
The biopic has already been dropped by Sony Pictures and picked up by Universal, it was due to star Christian Bale, before he dropped out, leaving Michael Fassbender to step in to play Jobs.
Fassbender will play Jobs, Seth Rogen will portray Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet will be former Macintosh marketing boss Joanna Hoffman, Jeff Daniels will axt former Apple CEO John Sculley, Katherine Waterston will play Jobs’ ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan and Michael Stuhlbarg will play one of the Mac’s original developers Andy Hertzfeld.
The film will be directed by Danny Boyle, from a screenplay by The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin. The film went into production earlier this week and is due for release in late 2015.
There has been one biopic of Jobs already released, simply titled Jobs, it starred Ashton Kutcher and was released in 2013.
