Michael Keaton in talks to star in McDonalds movie The Founder
Michael Keaton is in talks to star in a new movie about the founding and rise of fast-food chain McDonalds.
The movie is to be titled The Founder, and, according to Variety, Keaton is in early talks to star in the film, which is set to be directed by The Blind Side and Saving Mr Banks man John Lee Hancock.
The Founder will follow the story of how Illinois salesman Ray Kroc met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California.
After meeting the brothers and becoming hugely impressed by their efficient system of making the food, Kroc then maneuvered himself in a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire. Keaton is in line to play Kroc.
Keaton can currently be seen in offbeat comedy BiRDMAN, which has gathered universal critical acclaim and has seen him already win a Golden Globe for his performance.
