Milla Jovovich to star in new blockbuster from Game Of Thrones' author George RR Martin
Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich is in advanced talks to star in a new film based on short stories by Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin.
Jovovich is set to play a sorceress called Gray Alys in the forthcoming film, which is titled In The Lost Lands. Shameless actor Justin Chatwin has already been cast in the film, which will follow three interconnecting female-led stories.
German director Constantin Werner will direct the action spectacular and has also written the screenplay based on Martin's short stories. Shooting is due to take place towards the end of this year in Germany.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the plot will sees Jovovich's character "travel into the ghostly wasteland called the Lost Lands, to obtain the gift of shape-shifting into a werewolf, but she doesn’t realize that the fulfillment of her wish will come at a terrible price".
The rest of the synopsis reads as follows: "Meanwhile, warrior girl Sharra must fight a dragon that serves as the gatekeeper of seven worlds to reunite with her lost lover Kaydar. During this quest she meets the mysterious lord of a deserted castle, Laren Dorr, who seduces her so completely that she forgets her quest and stays with him, unaware that he is the real gatekeeper."
It continues: "And in the futuristic tale Bitterblooms, a young barbarian girl gets spellbound by a lonely witch in a spacecraft, who shows her beauty and love, which turns out to be a net of lies and deceit."
