A selection of new stills from the much-anticipated movie adaptation of Assassin's Creed have been unveiled (you can see them below) and a full trailer will arrive tomorrow (May 11th).

Assassin's Creed

In the big budget adaptation, Michael Fassbender will play the role of Callum Lynch, a descendant of the secret Assassins society who is tasked to unlock genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain, memories will prepare him to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.

He is joined in the movie by Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams and Ariane Labed.

Assassin's Creed, which has sold over 91 million copies in its history, has been directed by Snowtown's Justin Kurzel, who directed Fassebender and Cotillard in William Shakespeare's Macbeth, which was released in late 2015 this year and is available to order on DVD on the right-hand side of the page.

The film will hit UK cinemas on December 26th this year.
