Pixar's latest adventure, Onward, arrives in cinemas on Friday (March 6th).

The film is set in a suburban fantasy world where humans do not exist. Instead, the neighbourhoods are populated by elves, trolls, mermaids and centaurs, while unicorns are as common as rats, raiding the neighbourhood bins for food.

The story revolves around Barley and Ian, two elf brothers who set off on a quest to find out more about their father, who died when they were both very young, and to try and establish whether magic still exists in the world.

The movie features the voices of Chris Pratt, Octavia Spencer, Tom Holland and Julia-Louis Dreyfuss, and has been written and directed by Dan Scanlon, best known for his work on Monsters' University.

We spoke to Scalon and producer Kori Rae about how they brought this magical tale to life...
