Paul Feig unveils the new Ghostbusters uniforms
The director in charge of the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot Paul Feig has offered a cheeky first glimpse at the new uniforms that will be worn by Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, sending out a tweet featuring a photo of the empty costumes hanging on a rail:
Feig began filming on the new all-female Ghostbusters movie last month and the new film is due to arrive in cinemas next summer, with a pencilled release date of July 22nd 2016. The film also recently added Chris Hemsworth to its cast, who is set to appear as a male replacement for the Ghostbusters' receptionist Janine Melnitz.
The director also recently addressed the surprise news that Sony Pictures will also be making an all-male counterpart to Feig's film, which is expected to be directed by the Russo brothers. In an interview with Radio Times, he spoke of his shock at learning of the studio's plans for a second film: "It was a surprise - I was like, does that mean 'don't worry, the real one's coming after this'? It was a bit of a shock but I think it was a mistake - from even the studio's point of view I felt like it had been a mess up that it happened."
