Rachel Bloom opens up about making Trolls World Tour...

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, blockbuster sequel Trolls World Tour has skipped the cinemas and instead arrives on DVD shelves today (July 27th).

The film is the follow-up to the 2016 hit animation, which grossed over $340 million at the box office, took Trolls, the fuzzy and ever colourful range of dolls, to the big screen.

Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Ester Dean, Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, better known as Icona Pop and Kunal Nayyar return, while there are a slew of new voice cast members.

These include Kenan Thompson, Ron Funches, James Corden, Anthony Ramos, Gustavo Dudamel, Ozzy Osbourne, Karan Soni, Rachel Bloom, Jamie Dornan, Kelly Clarkson, Sam Rockwell, Flula Borg, George Clinton, Mary J. Blige, Anderson .Paak, J Balvin and Chance the Rapper.

In the sequel, Kendrick's Poppy and Timberlake's Branch discover that they are but one of six different Troll tribes scattered over six different lands devoted to six different kinds of music: Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop and Rock.

While they are happy to let the world live in peace, a member of hard-rock royalty, Bloom's Queen Barb, aided by her father King Thrash, wants to destroy all other kinds of music to let rock reign supreme.

With the fate of the world at stake, Poppy and Branch, along with their friends set out to visit all the other lands to unify the Trolls in harmony against Barb, who’s looking to upstage them all...

With the film now on DVD shelves, we spoke to Bloom about how she scored the role of Barb and what it's been like stepping into the colourful world of Trolls...
