Release date confirmed for Jim Jarmusch's zombie movie The Dead Don't Die
Perhaps one of this year's most hotly-anticipated films - outside of the big franchises like Star Wars and the Marvel movies, of course – Jim Jarmusch's upcoming zombie movie The Dead Don't Die has now been given a release date.
Jarmusch's film is set to arrive this summer and has now been given a release date of June 14th. One of the reasons that Jarmusch's film is so keenly anticipated is the movie's stellar cast list, and while it would probably be quicker to list the name of people who don't feature in The Dead Don't Die, the list of those who do includes Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Chloë Sevigny, Danny Glover, Rosie Perez, Caleb Landry Jones, Carol Kane, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop and Wu-Tang Clan supremo RZA, among many others.
Very little is known about the plot of the movie, but in a recent interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Murray said: “It’s a zombie movie. Jim Jarmusch has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious and it has a cast of great actors... It’s titled The Dead Don’t Die, and it shoots over the summer. But, no, I will not play a zombie.”
The release date is understood to be for cinemas in the US and while there's no confirmed release date for the film in the UK as yet, we expect that it won't be too far behind. More details as we get them...
