Robert Downey Jr named as highest paid actor in Hollywood for second year in succession
Robert Downing Jr has been named as the highest paid actor in Hollywood for the second year in succession.
Forbes reports that the Iron Man star raked in $75 million between June 2013 and June 2014, largely thanks to his involvement in Marvel films, which have earned over $4 billion in box office receipts in total so far.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson came in second with earnings of $52 million, while Bradley Cooper made $46 million, Leonardo DiCaprio earned $39 million and Thor star Chris Hemsworth made $37 million. Liam Neeson, Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg made up the rest of the top 10.
Downey Jr will next be seen in American comedy-drama The Judge, which is due out in October (you can see the trailer below). He will take the mantle of Iron Man once again in Avengers: Age Of Ultron next summer.
