Running time unveiled for IT: Chapter Two
The running time for IT: Chapter Two, the eagerly awaited sequel to IT, has been unveiled.
The horror sequel is a long watch, with a running time of two hours and 49 minutes, or 169 minutes.
That makes it 34 minutes longer than 2017's first movie, which adapted the first part of Stephen King's novel.
The movie centred around a group of children, who call themselves The Loser's Club. They must face off against a force that takes on its victims' greatest fears, horrifically personified by Pennywise the Clown, played by actor Bill Skarsgård.
In the sequel, which is adapted from the second part of King's novel, The Loser's Club, now all grown up, are forced to reunite, having sworn a blood oath to return to their home town if their old enemy appeared again.
Skarsgård returns for the second chapter, with the adult versions of the loser's Club kids set to be played by James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Isiah Mustafa and Andy Bean.
Director Andy Muschietti, who made the first movie, is once again behind the camera, working from a script adapted from King's novel by Gary Dauberman.
IT: Chapter Two will be released into UK cinemas on September 6th this year.
