Russo Brothers post cryptic image after filming wraps on Avengers 4
With the follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War due to arrive in April next year, directors Anthony and Joseph Russo have been busying themselves working on Avengers 4 and it seems that filming is finally completed, with the brothers posting a tweet this weekend which seems to confirm that shooting on the film is now finished.
As ever with the Russo brothers however, the pair couldn't resist teasing fans and accompanied their tweet with a mysterious image, which you can find below:
But what does it mean? Well, the short answer is that nobody but the Russo brothers knows as yet, but that hasn't stopped fans speculating, of course. Some have suggested that the image could be related to Adam Warlock, a Marvel character who originally played a key part in the Infinity War comic book stories, but who has yet to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – although his arrival was strongly hinted at in one of the post-credits scenes featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Other have suggested it could be related to another upcoming new arrival in the MCU – namely Brie Larson's incarnation of Captain Marvel, but it's likely fans won't be getting an answer to all of the questions until Avengers 4 makes its arrival in cinemas on April 26th next year.
