Russo brothers reveal Avengers: Infinity War could feature 67 characters
Anthony and Joe Russo have revealed that Avengers: Infinity War could feature as many as 67 key characters.
The directors, who are currently putting the finishing touches to Captain America: Civil War before they begin work on the new Avengers movie, have revealed that creating the story for the movies is proving a complex job.
Speaking to ComicBookMovie.com, the pair were talking about their future plans when Anthony Russo mistakenly referred to Hayley Atwell's Marvel character as 'Sharon' Carter rather than Peggy.
Coming to his defence his brother Joe said: "We have so many characters we're dealing with. We're breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it. You have to forgive him."
It was confirmed last year that the brothers will take over from Joss Whedon as directors of the third and fourth Avengers movies, which will film back to back in 2016. The first part of Avengers: Infinity War will be released in May 2018 and the second in May 2019.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron is out now on DVD and available to purchase on the right-hand side of the page.
