Sam Neill joins the cast of Thor: Ragnarok
Sam Neill has confirmed in an interview with Shortlist that he has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming film Thor: Ragnarok, joining up again with fellow New Zealander Taika Waititi, who is directing the new film and who recently worked with Neill on his brilliant adventure comedy Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
Waititi had previously directed several episodes of Channel 4’s hit comedy series The Inbetweeners before making his feature debut with the critically acclaimed Boy, as well as working on vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows alongside Flight of the Conchords star Jemaine Clement.
The director was attached to Thor: Ragnarok earlier this year and Sam Neill is the latest addition to a cast that already includes Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Tessa Thompson and Anthony Hopkins.
The film is currently underway and due to arrive in cinemas in November 2017.
