For the new movie producers Lionsgate have tapped Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, screenwriters behind Piranha 3D andSorority Row, to write the script, with original director James Wan and creator Leigh Whannell serving as executive producers.
It's not currently known whether the new movie will be a continuation of the story or a reboot of the series, which has grossed over $873 million at the box office and was thought to have concluded in 2010 with Saw 3D: The Final Chapter.
