Saw to return with new movie Saw: Legacy
The Saw franchise is to be resurrected with a new movie named Saw: Legacy.
It was thought the seven-film series had come to an end with the release of Saw 3D in 2010, but according to specialist horror movie source BloodyDisgusting.com, the franchise is on the way back.
For the new movie Lionsgate have tapped Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, screenwriters behind Piranha 3D and Sorority Row, to write the script, with original director James Wan and creator Leigh Whannell serving as executive producers.
It's not currently known whether the new movie will be a continuation of the story or a reboot of the series.
The Saw franchise has grossed over $873 million at the box office.
