Shooting on Deadpool 2 to get underway in early 2017
Shooting on the sequel to Deadpool will get underway in early 2017, producer Simon Kinberg has said.
The movie grossed over $780 million at the box office and a sequel was swiftly ordered, a sequel that Kinberg has now revealed will be filmed early next year.
Speaking to Collider, Kinberg said of plans for the sequel: "The guys, [original screenwriters Paul] Wernick and Rhett [Reese], are working on the script, and we hope to have the script very soon. We hope to shoot the movie some time at the beginning of next year."
Ryan Reynolds starred as Deadpool, with Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand also in key roles. Both Reynolds and director Tim Miller are confirmed to return for the sequel.
There is currently no release date for the sequel to Deadpool, which was released on DVD earlier this month and is available to purchase on the right-hand side of the page.
