Snow White and the Huntsman prequel gets a new title, trailer coming tomorrow
The blockbuster prequel to 2012 fantasy blockbuster Snow White And The Huntsman has a new title.
The movie is now titled The Huntsman: Winter's War and will reveal its first trailer tomorrow (November 18th).
The film is a prequel to the 2012 fantasy epic that starred Kristen Stewart, Chris emsworth and Charlize Theron and was directed by Rupert Sanders. Both Stewart and Sanders are not returning for the new film, with Cedric Nicolas-Troyan now in the director's chair.
Nicolas-Troyan has never directed a feature film before, but has acted as visual effects supervisor and second unit director on a number of huge films, including Snow White And The Huntsman. He is also attached to direct the new reboot of 1980s cult fantasy film Highlander.
The new film will see Jessica Chastain play opposite Hemsworth, who reprises his role as The Huntsman, with Charlize Theron also back as Queen Ravenna and Emily Blunt in place as the movie's villain, The Ice Queen. You can see a selection of character posters below:
Nicolas-Troyan joined the project after The Shawshank Redemption director Frank Darabont walked away due to creative differences.
The follow-up to Snow White and The Huntsman, which raked in almost $400 million at the box office back in 2012, is due to be released into cinemas on April 22nd in 2016.
