Zack Snyder tweets first image of new Aquaman
We now have our first glimpse of Jason Momoa as the marine-based superhero.
Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder has tweeted the very first image from the forthcoming Aquaman movie – check out the image below. The film will star Jason Momoa as the titular character but chances are that audiences will be well acquainted with him by the time the Aquaman movie arrived, as the character is tipped to appear in Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March next year.
After that he will appear in the Justice League Part one in November 2017 before the standalone Aquaman movie hits cinemas in July 2018.
Several months ago, well before this casting news became known, Snyder was asked by a Detroit radio station about Aquaman and he said: “The cool thing with Aquaman is his Trident. So you have to realise that could cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact. That’s a thing that’s in the canon. He’s super strong because he can exists at these super deep depths so when he comes up here he’s crazy strong.”
We imagine the excitement for this one is going to build considerably over the next three years…
