What could have been a complete mess of a movie is in fact one of the funniest and most entertaining films of the year. It's a sugar rush of fantastic animation and a witty self-referential script. The characters are all fully formed and fleshed out from Chris Pratt's every day man Emmet to a scene stealing Will Arnett as Batman whose husky growl guarantees laughs any time he is on screen.

Not only is it extremely clever and funny throughout it's duration, there is also a surprising amount of heart and a warm message which can resonate with an audience of any age. It immediately makes you want to pick up Lego and be creative yourself.

It also contains quite possibly the catchiest song you will ever hear. You will not stop singing for weeks, because at the end of the day 'Everything Is Awesome'.
