Star Trek 3 to begin shooting 'within six months'
Good news for Trekkies everywhere arrived today as Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock in the rebooted Star Trek films, revealed in an interview on The Today Show that work is due to begin on a third film.
Speaking on the programme, the 37-year-old actor said: “I think [the next Star Trek movie] is on the horizon. Things are rumbling, so I have a feeling that we will be back in production sometime in the next six months.”
Quinto didn't reveal any other new details, but it is already known that JJ Abrams will not be in the director's chair for the third instalment, probably because he has his hands full with Star Wars right now. Instead, Robero Orci will be in the director's chair for the new film.
