Straight Outta Compton's F. Gary Gray to direct Fast & Furious 8
Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray is to direct the next instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise
The eighth movie in the series has been without a director since James Wan, who took charge of Fast & Furious 7, decided he would not return for the new movie, but Gray confirmed last night (October 8th) that he had the gig.

According to reports earlier this week Gray, who has also directed the remake of The Italian Job and hit comedy Friday, saw off competition from Adam Wingard, best known for his work on action comedy The Guest and Now You See Me director Louis Leterrier to score the gig.
Fast 8 has a confirmed release date of April 14th in 2017 already and is likely to enter production in early 2016.
The seventh instalment of the franchise was released earlier this year and is available to purchase on the right-hand side of the page.
