Sylvester Stallone confirmed not to appear in Creed III

Sylvester Stallone is confirmed not to appear in the third instalment of Creed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, it had long been rumoured that Stallone would not take part in the new movie, but it has now been confirmed.

Creed followed the travails of Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky's great rival Apollo Creed, as he builds a career in the ring and tries to move out of his father's shadow.

The film was released in 2015 and was a box office hit, with a sequel following in 2018.

Zach Baylin, who wrote the script for King Richard, the new biopic of Richard Williams, has been tasked with providing the script for the new movie.

Star Michael B. Jordan is confirmed to make his directorial debut with the movie, which is due for release on November 23rd in 2022.
