TFI Friday to return for new series with Chris Evans as host
TFI Friday is to return for a full series, Channel 4 have confirmed.
The show, which ran for six series from 1996 to 2000 on Channel 4, was recently brought back for a one-off special and the channel have now decided to bring it back for a full series.
As he did for the first five series and the recent special, Chris Evans will again host the show. It will be broadcast in November and December of this year.
Last week it was confirmed that Evans would be taking over as the new presenter of Top Gear, replacing Jeremy Clarkson.
Evans has been offered the role of presenter after the BBC announced that Jeremy Clarkson would not be returning to the show earlier this year. Clarkson's contract was not renewed after he engaged in a fracas with a member of the show's production staff.
Shooting on the new series of Top Gear will get underway in the coming weeks.
