The Flash gets a new director with Dope's Rick Famuyiwa
The new big-screen outing for The Flash has a new director in the shape of Dope's Rick Famuyiwa.
The director, who has also taken charge of Brown Sugar and Talk To Me, replaces Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter's Seth Grahame-Smith in the chair.
Ezra Miller will make his full debut as The Flash in next year's Justice League - Part 1. The movie will bring together Miller's Flash, Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill's Superman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg and Jason Momoa's Aquaman as they unite for thr first time.
Justice League - Part 1 will open in cinemas on November 17th in 2017 with the second instalment set to follow two years later. Famuyiwa's movie is currently due to hit screens on March 16th in 2018.
Miller made a short appearance as the character in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice earlier this year and details of that movie's full bonus features were unveiled earlier this week.
The movie will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray, 4K and on Steelbook, which is available exclusively as hmv, on August 1st. The Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray, 4K and Steelbook will be accompanied by a string of bonus features as well as new cut of the film that features over 30 minutes of footage which did not feature in the movie's cinema release.
Among the bonus features are documentaries entitled Uniting The World's Finest, which will show off the creation of DC's new crop of superheroes, Gods and Men: A Meeting of Giants, which will tell the story of how everything in Batman and Superman’s pasts have been leading up to this novie, another feature titled The Warrior, The Myth, The Wonder, which will explore the origin and evolution of Wonder Woman, including a look at Gal Gadot's solo bow.
Also included is a feature named Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile, which will see American TV host Sal Masekela go under the hood of Batman's newly redesigned car and even had a go himself, a short film named Superman: Complexity & Truth, which will show off move of Henry Cavill's work as Superman, a piece named Batman: Austerity & Rage, which will look at creating the look of Ben Affleck's new Batman, Wonder Woman: Grace & Power, a similar look at Wonder Woman, and Batcave: Legacy of The Lair, which is a more detailed look at the new Batcave.
As well as there is a feature named The Might and The Power of A Punch, which details the power and physics behind the epic battle between Batman and Superman, The Empire of Luthor, a detailed history and look at the creation of the new Lex Luthor, and finally, Save the Bats, which shows how the cast and crew gave back to the environment and brought awareness to a very real ecological problem.
