"I think there will be a kind of afterglow..." hmv.com talks to the cast of The Night Manager
It might have taken some 20 years to come to the screen, but David Farr's adaptation of John Le Carré's taut thriller The Night Manager was well worth the wait. Known for espionage classics like Tinker, Sailor, Soldier, Spy, Le Carré' is a master of the genre and here the story centres around Jonathan Pine, a former soldier charged with infiltrating an arms dealing ring and taking down its suspected leader, the charming but villainous Richard Roper.
Starring Tom Hiddleston in the role of Pine, the show has been a huge hit with audiences, largely thanks to some brilliant chemistry between Hiddleston's Pine and Hugh Laurie's nefarious arms dealer, leading an excellent cast that also includes Olivia Colman, Elizabeth Debicki, David Harewood and Tom Hollander.
With the final episode airing tonight and the series arriving in stores on DVD & Blu-ray tomorrow (March 28th), we have some exclusive interviews for you with cast members Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman, show producer Rob Bullock, director Susanne Bier and John Le Carré himself, who share their thoughts on the story and why it has been such a hit with audiences.
