The Perks Of Being A Wallflower's Stephen Chbosky to write and direct Prince Charming for Disney
Stephen Chbosky, writer of Beauty And The Beast and writer/director of hit indie drama The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, will write and direct a new live-action take on Prince Charming for Disney.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Chbosky, whose new film Wonder opens in cinemas in two weeks, will take over the project and re-work the screenplay.
The new movie will offer a look at the iconic prince, who has featured in both Cinderella and Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, from the point of view of his brother, who never quite lived up to the family name.
Prince Charming joins a long list of planned Disney live-action reimaginings of their animated classics with Aladdin, The Lion King, Peter Pan and Dumbo all currently in various stages of production.
