The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph confirmed to arrive in 2018
The long-awaited sequel to animated megahit Wreck-It Ralph has been confirmed to arrive in 2018.
The sequel, which has been long talked about, will hit cinemas on March 9th in 2018, six years after the original movie was released.
Wreck-It Ralph featured the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Alan Tudyk. It told the story of an acade game villain who rebels against his role and dreams of becoming a hero. He travels between games in the arcade, and ultimately must eliminate a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade.
Reilly will be back to voice the title character once again and promised Ralph's return will cause more carnage, saying: "It’s top secret but I’ll tell you this much… Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the Internet. What could go wrong?”
Rich Moore, who directed the first film, will co-direct the sequel with Phil Johnston, best known as one of the writers of Frozen.
